Mattress & adjustable base packages explained: Bronze vs Silver vs Gold
Hi, we’re John and Mimi. Our sleep system packages put a mattress, an adjustable base and a pillow in one order, so the whole bed shows up together. We sell three: Bronze, Silver and Gold. Here’s exactly what each one includes (straight from its listing), today’s prices, who each one fits, and how a package compares with buying the same pieces one at a time, with the math done for you.
The short answer
- Every package is three pieces: a 12" copper-infused memory foam mattress, an adjustable base and a copper-infused memory foam pillow, with Free FedEx shipping on the whole bundle.
- Bronze is the lowest price: a wireless base with head and foot lift and a zero-gravity position, plus a medium-firm 12" copper memory foam mattress. It’s also the only package offered as a split king.
- Silver steps up to the e4 Premium base (head and foot massage, USB charging, LED under-bed lights) and the medium 12" ActiveAlign zoned mattress.
- Gold uses the same ActiveAlign mattress on the e7 Lumbar base, which adds lumbar support and a pillow tilt for reading or TV.
- Is it cheaper? For Silver and Gold, yes: at today’s prices each package costs less than its mattress, base and pillow added up (see the table below).

Each package lists one pillow. If two of you share the bed, plan on a second copper pillow (or any pillow from our pillow guide).
Bronze: the simple, lower-priced setup
- Base: the listing calls it a “Wireless Adjustable Base” with head and foot articulation, a quiet motor system, an intuitive wireless remote and a zero-gravity position. It doesn’t name the base model or list massage, USB ports or lights, so don’t count on those. Want to know exactly which base ships? Text John.
- Mattress: a 12-inch copper-infused memory foam mattress with medium-firm support; the listing says the copper infusion works to dissipate heat and adds antimicrobial benefits.
- Pillow: a copper-infused memory foam pillow to match.
- Sizes: Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, Split King and Split Cal King.
Silver: massage, USB and lights
- Base, the e4 Premium (SBKDP2): head and foot lift; zero-gravity and anti-snore presets; dual massage at the head and foot with 3 intensity levels and a 10, 20 or 30 minute timer; a wireless 14-button remote; programmable one-touch positions; LED under-bed lighting; built-in USB charging ports; reinforced steel with a 750 lb weight capacity. The listing says it sets up with no tools and folds for shipping.
- Mattress, the 12" ActiveAlign Reactive Copper Zoned (medium): 2" reactive foam with a latex-like bounce back, 1" copper-gel infused memory foam, a 2" zoned layer (support foam at the head and feet, plush cooling gel at the upper torso, plush memory foam at the hips), patented edge support and a 7" Air Grid base with articulated cuts for flexibility on an adjustable base. Zip-off, machine-washable cooling cover; CertiPUR-US certified foams.
- Pillow: a copper-infused memory foam pillow with a machine-washable zip-off cover.
- Sizes: Twin XL, Full, Queen, King and Cal King.
Gold: lumbar support and pillow tilt
- Base, the e7 Lumbar (SBKDL2): head and foot lift plus adjustable lumbar support and a pillow tilt; flat, zero-gravity, anti-snore and memory presets; dual or isolated massage with three intensities and timed sessions; motion-sensor night lighting; USB-A and USB-C charging; a mattress retainer bar and emergency battery strip. The Gold listing says legs are included and that the base can also be used zero clearance.
- Mattress: the same 12" ActiveAlign Reactive Copper Zoned (medium) as Silver.
- Pillow: the same copper-infused memory foam pillow.

Cal King: the e4 Premium and e7 Lumbar are sold on their own as a Cal King split set (two bases), and the Cal King package listings don’t say whether the base is one piece or two, so we left Cal King out of the math. Text John and he’ll tell you exactly what ships.
Bronze: its listing doesn’t name the base model, so we can’t price the base on its own. What we can show: the 12" Copper Gel memory foam mattress (medium firm) we sell on its own, plus the copper pillow, and what’s left over for the base. For comparison, the last column is our e3 base bought by itself.

When buying separately makes more sense
- You want a different feel. All three packages use a 12" memory foam mattress, medium or medium firm. If you want plush, firm or a hybrid, see our best mattress for an adjustable base guide.
- You want a different base. A headboard base (Sam, Alex, Taylor), the Glide, the SBKDT2 or the e8 High-Low Lift aren’t in a package. Our how to choose an adjustable base checklist walks through them.
- You already have one half. If your mattress is newer and bends, you may only need a base (our is an adjustable bed worth it guide covers that), or the other way around.
- You need a split king with massage or lumbar. Silver and Gold aren’t offered as split king, but the e4 Premium and e7 Lumbar come as split sets on their own.
Delivery and setup
Every package ships with Free FedEx shipping. The mattress arrives compressed and rolled, and its setup instructions say to place the mattress on the base before opening, unwrap it with scissors (not a razor blade), and let it expand for up to 72 hours, though you can sleep on it right away. What is the difference between the Bronze, Silver and Gold packages?
Bronze pairs a wireless base (head and foot lift, zero gravity) with a medium-firm 12 inch copper memory foam mattress. Silver uses the e4 Premium base with head and foot massage, USB charging and LED under-bed lights, and the medium 12 inch ActiveAlign zoned mattress. Gold uses the same mattress on the e7 Lumbar base, which adds lumbar support and a pillow tilt.
Is a package cheaper than buying the mattress and base separately?
For Silver and Gold, yes: at today’s prices each package costs less than its mattress, base and pillow bought one at a time. The table on this page does the math live in every size. The Bronze listing does not name its base model, so we show what is left for the base after the mattress and pillow instead.
Which package comes in split king?
Bronze is the only package offered in Split King and Split Cal King. Silver comes in Twin XL, Full, Queen, King and Cal King, and Gold in Twin XL, Full, Queen and Cal King. If you want a split king with massage or lumbar, the e4 Premium and e7 Lumbar bases are sold as split sets on their own.
Can I swap the mattress or base in a package?
The packages come as listed. If you want a different mattress feel or a different base, buy the two separately, or text John at 818-924-3744 and he will help you pick.
