What does medium firm feel like?
Mattress companies don’t share one official scale, but most use something like 1 (very soft) to 10 (very firm), and medium firm usually lands around 6 to 7. On our own five-step scale (plush, medium soft, medium, medium firm, firm) it’s the fourth step. In practice that means the top layers give enough to soften pressure at the shoulders and hips, but you don’t sink deep, and it’s easy to roll over or get out of bed.
